各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

六月份最重要的事情一定是下學期學期試了！不論本地生或跨境生，大家也盡力完成最後一次考試。 一轉眼，六年級的同學已經到了小學生涯的最後的一個階段，九月開始已經成為中學生了。 今年雖然因疫情關係未能舉行聯校畢業典禮，但我們仍會為六年級同學舉行一個簡單而隆重的畢業禮， 更為每一位畢業生準備了一套畢業袍及帽，希望他們真正感受到自己成熟了，要畢業了！ 相信家人也想與他們拍照留念，為小學階段劃上完滿的句號。大家想先睹為快嗎？

The most important thing in June is the second term examinations! No matter whether local or cross-border students, they all did their best and completed their final examinations. In a blink of an eye, P.6 students have already arrived at the final stage of their primary school life. They will become secondary school students in September. Although there cannot be a joint school graduation ceremony this year due to the coronavirus, we will still have a simple yet grand Graduation Day. Plus, we will prepare a set of graduation gown with cap for each of our graduates. We hope that they will truly feel that they are mature now because they are graduating! I believe that our graduates’ families would like to take photos with them on the day to capture their final primary school moment. Would you like to have a look?

由上年度開始，學校進行了大小不同的工程， 希望令學校煥然一新。今年暑期，學校也會進行不同的工程，例如學校外牆翻新、 禮堂油漆等。希望學生們能在安全和環境優美的校舍內學習。

Since last year, we’ve had various construction projects going on to refresh our school. This summer holiday, we will be carrying out more construction works; for example, exterior wall renovation, school hall repainting etc. We hope our students can learn in a safe and beautiful school building.

在17/6(四)早上，家教會主席及部分成員到校為第二十六屆表揚教師計劃點票。 大家花了一個半小時去完成點票。 結果分別由余美美老師及劉碧琪老師獲最多票數。 她們將於2021年9月20日（星期一）出席敬師日慶典暨表揚狀頒發典禮。

In the morning of 17/6 (Thurs), Parent-Teacher Association Chair and other members arrived at school for vote counting for the 26th Teacher Commendation Scheme. Everyone spent an hour and a half to finish counting votes. Miss YU Mei Mei and Miss LAU Bicky received the most votes. They will attend the Teachers’ Day and Commendation Certificate Presentation Ceremony on 20 September 2021 (Monday).

回想四月末，高年級的體育堂加了「立划艇」的體驗活動， 當時同學們在學校參與體驗活動已興奮不已。考試完結後，體育老師為五、六年級學生安排一個刺激活動--- 25位同學及2位老師浩浩蕩蕩出發前往加多利灣，在海灘上學習「立划艇」。 雨下了好幾多，幸好，當天天氣穩定，大家過了半天體驗學習。 參加的同學表示希望日後也可以多參與這類型的活動。

Thinking back to the end of April, we incorporated a paddle boarding experiential activity in our P.4 – P.6 students’ P.E. lessons. At that time, our students were already so excited about the experience. After the examinations, P.E. teachers arranged a thrilling activity for our P.5 and P.6 students: 25 students and two teachers went to Kadoorie Beach to learn paddle boarding with great strength and vigour! It rained quite a bit. Fortunately, the weather was stable. Everybody had a great half-day learning experience! The students who participated said that they hope they can participate in similar activities in the future.

戲劇教育是由我引入學校的， 我相信透過戲劇教育的活動，可以促進學生學習能力，例如幫助他們思考和溝通， 更重要是可以表情達意。我們今年參加了語文教育及研究常務委員會（語常會）舉辦的英語聯盟之「戲劇樂趣學英文」。 看見同學參與戲劇活動時不怕被別人嘲笑，主動用英文去表達意思時， 令我覺得當初引入戲劇教育是正確的！多謝老師的教導！

I introduced Drama-in-Education to our school. I believe through Drama-in-Education activities, students’ learning abilities will be promoted. For example, it can assist their critical thinking and communication skills, and more importantly, it can improve their ability in expressing their ideas. This year, we participated in “Learning English with Drama Fun” hosted by the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR). Seeing our students working hard, not being afraid of performing in front of others and enthusiastically using English to express themselves really confirmed for me that introducing Drama-in-Education is the correct decision! A big thank you to the teachers for teaching our students!

在六月期間，學校及同學也榮獲多個校外比賽的獎項，衷心多謝老師對學生孜孜不倦地教導。 獎項包括：我們連續第二年取得「關愛校園」獎項、由廠商會蔡章閣中學舉辦的「第一屆香港學界創意紙飛機競技大賽」、 「國際線上數學精英公開賽2021」、「MATH CONCEPTITION數學，思維大激鬥」、「屯門區學生飛躍表現獎勵計劃」、4A余日顥同學的 中文寫作也刊登在第八十六期《香港小學生文藝月刊》等等。這些活動都能令學生、家長、老師對學校的歸屬感大增。最後，我們獲 得了「樂繫校園獎勵計劃2019-2020」的「家社連繫大獎」，現送上相關的訪問，歡迎大家要欣賞及按LIKE。我們會繼續努力，LTY加油！ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taYOMZ6e5n0

In June, our school and our students were awarded multiple off-campus competition awards. Thank you to our teachers for their tireless efforts to teach our students. These awards include our second consecutive Caring School Award, Chinese Manufacturers’ Association (CMA) Choi Cheung Kok Secondary School’s Hong Kong Inter-School Creative Paper Plane Competition, International Online Mathematics Elite Open 2021, Math Conceptition, Tuen Mun District Student Leap Forward Award Scheme, and our student 4A YU Yat Ho’s Chinese writing was published in issue 86 of the Hong Kong Pupil Literature Monthly Magazine, etc. These events greatly improved students, parents and teachers’ sense of belonging to the school. Lastly, we received the Engagement with Family and Community Award from the Hi-Five Student Engagement Award Scheme 2019-2020. Here is the interview.
